Senyal

Help, frequently asked questions and contact.

Support

Senyal is a player: it ships with no channels. You bring your playlist and it plays it, with no ads.

Adding your playlist

The first time you open Senyal, tap Add playlist. There are three ways:

You can keep several at once and enable or disable them in Settings › Playlists.

A channel will not play

Black picture, or it never starts

Senyal uses two engines: the system one for HLS, and a compatibility engine for MPEG-TS, HEVC and formats iOS cannot open. If a channel fails, open the player's ··· menu and tap Stream info: it shows the detected format, the engine used and the exact error.

A connection-refused error

Most providers cap simultaneous connections. If your cap is one, you cannot watch and record at the same time, or watch on two devices. Settings › Playlists shows how many connections your account allows.

It keeps stalling

When the stream stalls, Senyal tells you and reconnects on its own up to three times. You can also use Reload channel from the menu without leaving full screen.

Recording

You can record what you are watching, or schedule a recording from the guide. Recordings are saved in Senyal's folder and open from the Files app.

iOS does not allow long downloads with the app closed: while Senyal is in the foreground or audio keeps playing, recording continues; if the system suspends the app, whatever was recorded up to that point is kept. The Mac has no such limit.

Supported formats

HLS (.m3u8), MPEG-TS (.ts), MP4, MKV and most common IPTV streams, in H.264 and HEVC. Multiple audio tracks and subtitles when the stream carries them.

Where do I get a playlist?

Not from us, in any form. Senyal does not provide, sell or recommend any provider or content. If you hold a legitimate subscription to a service that gives you an M3U playlist or an Xtream account, you can use it here. You are responsible for holding the rights or authorisation to whatever you play.

Still stuck

Email info@piqture.cat with your device model, your Senyal version and what you tried. If it is one specific channel, attach the Stream info screenshot: it contains everything we need. We reply within one working day.
